Meeting Minutes – August 2018
Wendy called the meeting to order at 6:07pm
2 current members brought Vanessa Hopkins and Burke Rice. Heather and Jee Ann invited them, they will be in the drawing next month for a gift card.
The speaker will be Jerry Guttman from SOFA
Wendy briefly discussed the survey that went out last month. She is hoping to move locations to save money.
Elections will be held next month for all positions. Wendy wants to stay active either helping the new board members or chairing the state conference committee.
A vote was taken regarding the November meeting. Our usual meeting will fall during Thanksgiving week. It was put to vote to either move the meeting to the week before or after Thanksgiving. It was voted to have the meeting the week before Thanksgiving on Nov.13th
Jennifer read the secretary’s minutes from June, as there was no July meeting. The minutes were approved.
Jo read the treasure report. Beginning balance was $4720.94 and ending balance was $4387.49. The minutes were approved.
Jo also read the government liaison’s report. South Carolina’s garnishment clearing house will be up and running in 2019.
APA’s Make a difference day- please volunteer, participants can earn RCH’s
National Payroll Week, if you purchase items from the APAs website before August 24, chapters will get credit.
New W-4 will be out in 2019. Check it out…much has changed.
